This is a late notice, but hopefully who knows, maybe you will read it and come on out.
Each year Frisco Texas holds a Chili Challenge. The cost is $5.00 for all you can eat chili and $1.00 for Hot Dogs. This is an event that includes all of the schools within Frisco ISD. There is always a great turnout. Our school has placed in the top three every year. Hopefully we will win it one year. Win or lose, all proceeds go to the Frisco Education Foundation.
The cook-off is tonight at Pizza Hut Park from 5:00 - 7:00.
We have attended for the past 4 years (this will be 5). There are dozens are participating schools and this all of the Chili is good! There is even some chili for those of you who love spicy. We will leave here in about 45 minutes or so. Perhaps we will see you there!
*** Feel free to place a vote for Sparks Elementary ***

And for those football lovers, the FHS vs. CHS Varsity Football Game will be at Pizza Hut Park after the cook-off.
Go Frisco Raccoons!!!

John - This seems like a great fundraiser for Frisco schools. Is that an actual picture of the event? If so, that is a great crowd!
too late, I did not view this in time. Have fun and try not to eat so much Chili.
Great fundraiser event - my wheels are turning!!!
John, I wish it was closer as our son love chili. I'm waiting to see if the temperature dips to make it. Should the temp not dip I will make it anyway before he leaves.
Erik - The picture is actually from a previous year. I didn't take any pictures this trip. There is always a GREAT turnout for this event. I try to keep my stay short or else I over do it. They don't cut you off... unless they run out of Chili for that one school. My kids enjoy it as well. They see how much the community comes together.
Angelia - I know, Im sorry. Not sure why I didn't think to blog about this sooner. There is still time to come to the parade tomorrow though. Its also here in Frisco at 11:00 am.
Darla - This is one of those opportunities where you can really meet a lot of people, especially if you volunteer. if you are not a volunteer, a nice shirt with your company name on the front left works well also. Conversation piece and possible opportunity. Personally, I do not own a shirt like that because I am not sure it works the same for a broker. But I have heard it work for several Realtors.
Marchel - Yeah, I slacked on the notification this time around. I'll work on that for future events. The parade is still an option. Its a little drive for you for such a small parade, but a lot of fun. How is the visit with your son going?
John - five bucks for all the chili you can eat? Damn that sounds good!
Greg - Very good and very cheap. I left there TOO FULL as always.
I love to make chili... it's been a favorite since I was a kid... I wish I could have been there to sample!
John, that sounds like a bargain. Now I have a craven for chili, Thanks...
Steve - Sorry I did not get this out sooner. We love having more people come. It was another great turnout.
Paul - There were so many types, Im sure you would have enjoyed yourself. It would have been quite a trip from WA though.
John, I love going to events like this...I too am now craving Chili....thanks pal. Did your school win?
Princess - I wont know until Monday. We went for about 40 minutes, but they don't make the announcements until 7 pm. We were doing pretty well. I think we will come in second based on where we stood when we left.
I missed this also and the parade- both sounded great. You need to come to coffee with the mayor next month- good event.
Geoffrey - You missed some good Chili ! Sorry I missed the meeting. I just sent you a note about it. I thought since I didnt get the reminder that it was canx for some reason. I'll be sure its in my calender whether I get the invite or not. Thanks for the heads up!
Rubberman-I hated to dirty up your other posts with this: I'm BEATING you to the food discussion tonight. Dinner: Pork Tenderloin, sauteed in ginger, orange and sesame sauce, mashed potatoes, green beans and corn. Dessert: Klondike Bar :) Now, what are you cooking, lol.
