Finally - A burger place that is similar to In-N-Out... In Texas

Have you ever had an In-N-Out Burger?  They are only located in California, Nevada, Arizona, and now Utah.

Its a Burger Place.  Plain and simple.  In-N-Out was founded in 1948 and has had the same menu for all of those years.  They serve burgers and fries.  Everything is made fresh, including the french fries.  The potato is actually cut up on fried to order.

Well, since we moved from California 4 years ago, we have not found a burger place that is just as good.  We heard rumors about 'Whats a burger' being similar, but clearly those rumors were started from people who had never eaten at a real in-n-out burger.

Well, while playing on my iPhone this past week (new applications), I came across an application that shows you local diners, entertainment locations, gas stations, etc.  When reviewing Frisco, Texas, I came across a place called GoGo Burger.

GoGo Burger is located @ 6129 W. Main Street - Frisco, TX  75034

This is truly the closest burger to In-N-Out that I have seen in quite some time.  Everything made fresh, including the hand cut fries.  Do not go there if you want anything other than a cheeseburger.  There are 5 items to choose from:

  • Double Patty
  • Single Patty
  • Atkins Burger (lettuce wrap instead of a bun)
  • Grilled Cheese
  • Triple Stack Patty

** Please note that these are not the real names.  I was just giving you a quick idea of the menu options.

GoGo Burger opened in August.  If you have not tried them and would like a good burger, I highly suggest giving them a try.  My family and I ate there (4 of us) and spent about $21 total.  That included 4 burgers, 2 sodas, 2 waters (kids), and 2 orders of fries.  The fries are big enough to share.

Enjoy!

Hmmm, I supposed once you've had the "real" thing...nothing else can really compare...at least you found GoGo Burger in your town of Frisco...

That is VERY true Rebecca!  I do not plan on being in California again for a little while, so I'll take what I can get.

I have never had an In-N-Out Burger but they must be really good.  Chester's is my favorite burger place here in San Antonio.

Well Shirley, In-n-Out is pretty darn good.  It's fresh, but I think its more the sauce they put on the burger.  Its just a thousand island sauce (or something like it) but its good.  I keep saying 'fresh' like it makes the food that much healthier... LOL  But it sounds like it should be healthier.

I'll have to check out Chester's the next time I visit San Antonio.  Could I locate them online?  Thanks for the suggestion.

If you are even in Dallas go to The Angry Dog on Commerce in Deep Ellum.  Best burger in the world.

It will make In and Out look like Over and Out.

The Angry Dog?  I hope that is not a sign of whats 'inside'.  I am in Dallas and will have to give that a try.  Thanks for the suggestion Richard.

I've never had In and Out but I've heard great things.  Richard is right that Angry Dog is good.  I also like The Counter that opened at the Shops of Legacy in Plano - very good!  I'll have to head up to GoGo burger soon - gosh you are making me hungry.

JOHN  I do appreciate a good burger. I'm not in Frisco often but will have somewhere new to try whenever I'm there again.

The Angry Dog? Woo! I'm in.

I think Richard got it right with the Angry Dog.  They get my vote for a good burger.  But Snuffer's get my vote for cheddar fries!  Yum.

Karen - I am not sure if they are legendary, but certainly very good.  I think its the sauce that makes them so good.

I have tried the Counter at the shops at legacy, Linda.  It was good, but not $12 good.  I have not been there in over a year though, so maybe I am remembering the price wrong.  Definitely a different type of burger place.

Trunda - I'll treat if you come out my way, just let me know when you make the trip.

I guess that makes it unanimous Steve.  The Angry Dog is a thumbs up from all of you.  Snuffers cheddar fries are really good.  My friend turned me on to them a few years back.  Quite messy, but thats what makes them good.
