Coffee with the Mayor - Frisco, TX

Last month I blogged about Mayor Maher Maso and how he meets each month with the residents of Frisco.  Well, if you missed it last month, now is another opportunity to clear your schedule and get to you know your Mayor.  These meetings are known as "Coffee with the Mayor".   Coffee, pastries, and good conversation will be served.

The meetings are held on the second Monday of each month and start at 8:00 am.  Bring your questions for the Mayor, as he is open to discuss just about anything related to Frisco, the economy, and future developments in our city.  Meetings last about one hour and are held in Frisco Square.  See below for details.

When - Monday 8/11/08 from 8:00 amd to 9:00 am

Where - 6101 Frisco Square Blvd in the City Room (5th floor of City Hall)

This is a great way to meet YOUR Mayor for some casual conversation and find out what is going on in YOUR city.  Last month there was another good turnout, so I hope that you will be able to attend.  Bring some good questions and/or concerns.

John, this is great localism info. As people start to use the site to learn more about Frisco, I'm sure that they will find you.

Maher is great.  I'm the current Gov't Affairs Chair at the Collin County Association of Realtors and he has been wonderful to our organization.  I was on the committee that interviewed him for CCAR's endorsement and he was so impressive.  The Frisco voters definitely got that right.

Erik - Thanks for the comment.  I try to add some local stuff.  Many Realtors in the area cover the properties listed or developments that are coming, so I try to cover other stuff.  Plus, I like the fact that the Mayor makes himself availble to residents.

Linda - I agree.  I have not had the opportunity to meet with him prior to these meetings.  This is the 2nd month and he appears to be very approachable and honest with his answers.  He mentioned he did a presentation or something with NAR recently.  It was a brief mention because he was talking about something different at the time, but he did mention it.

John - Maher has been great to the Realtors.  I'm glad you are getting to know him.

I have learned that this mayor and the last mayor are very approachable.  I love the fact that they come to my kids school and talk.  That is something I would never have seen in California.  This is only my second meeting with Mayor Maher and I look forward to more.  Thanks Linda!
