Sometimes the only good thing about wearing a Dallas Cowboy jersey is that you get a discount at Albertsons on Game Day...

If you live in Dallas, you will certainly hear all about it. The Dallas Cowboys are the talk of Texas, no matter what the season.  Cowboys lose again, falling to San Diego 20-17.

Typically, the Cowboys look solid leading into the play-offs and then fall apart. It appears they are no wasting any time this year and have 2 losses in a row.  Last week against the New York Giants and now this week to San Diego.

You always want to see your home team play well and of course win. I'm just not seeing it. Dallas Cowboys need to win heading to play-offs because it helps build confidence. With only 3 regular season games left, its not looking good. Next week we face the UNDEFEATED New Orleans Saints, then we face Washington Redskins (who we barely beat 3 weeks ago 7-6), and then we come back home to face those Eagles.

Obviously none of those games are a 'gimme', so Dallas will have to play tough. What started off as a solid season is suddenly coming to an end unless these players can somehow stop the bleeding.

Who is your team this season and how they doing?

John, I guess it is good that you get the discount.  I'm not a big football fan so have not been paying attention so there are some that didn't know.  I heard from a friend last night that the Texans are not doing very good also.

I'm originally from Pittsburgh, so that makes me a huge Steeler fan! I thought we'd have another great season, but no such luck. We've beaten teams I've thought we wouldn't, and we lost to teams that were "no contest." Maybe next year...

John, I am a Bronco fan and of couse a part of the West of the AFC.....even tho I have not lived in Denver for many years.  I feel you pain.  I also have "close connections to a Giants fan"........Happy Playoffs!!!!!!

I have always been a Chicago fan and the Bears have only given us so much to cheer about this year.

John, I'm a diehard Broncos fan and was thrilled at the beginning of the season with a 6-0 start and then everything fell apart with 4 straight losses and then 2 wins and then now losing to the Colts today. I just think...on any given Sunday, it's anyone's game and remain true to my team no matter how painful it gets.

I get you John!

Hi John!  Where is your optimism??  They need YOU to cheer them on!  Impossible things can be possible when there is belief!  Anyway... i am no football fan, so i have no team to boast of, but thanks for asking!

John,

I'm a die hard fan of the star myself. This year we can't blame Romo or Terrel Owens! Our secondary is as usualy, very ordinary! Demarcus Ware isn't the same threat as he was last year and neither is our pass rush. Nick Folk needs to be FIRED and the team lacks the killer instinct that the Saints display week in week out!

Wade's probably going to get fired, what do you think?

GOOOO EAGLES, CRUSH THE GIANTS! We need all the help we can get!

I'm not too much of a NFL kinda gal. But my College team decided to take a break this year. I guess that's okay. Everyone needs a break every once a while.

As A Numb Panthers fan all I can say is that the Monday morning after a home town loss is a bad water cooler moment. Odd that we are buoyed by our teams ,but we need all the bang we can get ..right? The ain'ts are now the Saints. Go figure. They play with urgency. I like the Saints (except when they play us), I wish we played with urgency

John - As you know, I am also a huge Cowboys fan, and I have been since I was a toddler.  I have to agree with Greg - Folk needs to be fired this week.  He has missed 6 out of his last 12 FG attempts!  I told a friend earlier that if the Cowboys lost by three or less, Folk would be gone.

Wonder if we'll actually get Bill Cowher as a coach for 2010.  There's also no salary cap in effect next season, so maybe Jerry Jones will fill any gaps with money?

Marchel - The Texans have been on and off all year. They played very well this week.

Margo - You can certainly feel the pain. Pitt is losing to many teams that they shouldnt.

Marcie & Wanda - The Broncos have shined when I thought they would lose, and lost when I thought they would win.

JL - I've been pulling for Cutler ALL year (he's on my fantasy team) and he has been such a disappointment. The DEF is still solid, but the QB loves to throw it to the other team.

Diane - I still cheer for them, but they disappoint a LOT in December.

Greg - FOLK should have been gone after week 4. He has been so SAD this year with his performance. Im not sure why he is still here this far into the season. I've seen more Little League Kickers make more kicks than this guy.  As for Wade.... its surprising that he was a defensive coach. Romo has played well for the past few weeks and the defense just can not stop the other team. Also, Roy Williams has dropped SOOO many passes. I'd prefer to have TO than this guy.

Loreena - Oklahoma will be back strong next year.

Claude - Panthers were so surprising this year. How Delhomme went from being a decent QB to one of the worse... no one knows. D.Williams had a decent year, but was not quite the same guy from 2008 either. Last year he was a beast.

Jason - Nick does need to go. Not sure about Wade yet, but time will tell. You know Jerry Jones... he has the money and has invested a TON into this new stadium. He will certainly spend the cash to bring some solid defenders into the mix. Im thinking that he will keep Wade Phillips until next year unless they really are disgraceful over the next 3 weeks.

Da Bears. With all the hype about finally getting a bona-fide quarterback, this year has been a tremendous disappointment. Not only has the quarterback failed miserably unlike any quarterback since 1945 (interceptions in a year) our historic solid running game and monsters of the midway defense has also decided to take a hiatus. There is always Da Cubs just around the corner.

Yes, the 'Boys loose another heart breaker. The Titans thumped the Chargers yesterday. Next Sunday will decide their season. If they beat Miami, they may be in contention for a wild card...

James - sorry about those Bears... I agree about Cutler. HUGE disappointment considering how well he played last year.

Michael - The Titans did kick some nice tail yesterday, but it wasnt the Chargers because we had the pleasure of losing to the Chargers. I believe the Titans beat the Rams.

I am not surprised about the Cowboy's losses.  They suck this year and last year.  Changes need to be made.

Steve - I take it that you are not a Cowboy fan?? ha

Angelia - So harsh.

Michelle - Are you talking about SOCCER :-)   I think if you live in Wisconsin, its in the constitution for you to LOVE the Packers.

Monique - Well then you should be looking forward to week #16 when Cowboys face off against the Skins again. I like the Redskins. Campbell is becoming a solid QB.

I could see why Andrea made a fuss about this blog. I would too if I saw my ROMO with his head on the grass like that.

He should have stayed with Carrie Underwood, then his life would be perfect.

Cindy - The Saints had a great year this season. After writing this post, the Cowboys seemed to pull it together. Do you think Wade Phillips reads my post? Yeah, I didnt think so either. Good luck in the playoffs.
