Apple Camp for Kids - Check it out

I recently received an advertisement for Apple Camp.  Apparently, kids can sign up for camp at your local Apple Retail Store.  The camp is for kids between the ages of 8-12

This camp is great for today's generation.  Remember when you learned how to use a computer?  There are still some functions I am not sure about.  Well, during this camp they teach kids how to do some cool stuff on a MAC computer.  Things like Make a Movie,  Write and record a song, Create a multimedia presentation, and show off photo's like a professional.

I wish we had this when I was younger.  I'm still learning many of these things myself.  Maybe I'll sign-up my kids so that they can teach me.

Visit the Apple website and find a retail store near you.

Thanks for the info! I wish I would have known about this earlier. All the stores in my area are full..

I wonder if anyone offers a PC camp. My kids would have loved something like that.

John,

Great story, thanks for sharing.  Hope one of those campers does not decide to write a virus for the Mac.

Danielle - I noticed that my local store is full as well.  I guess all those MAC lovers stay on top of this stuff.  Maybe if I keep checking back something will open up.  We do have a store with openings which is not too far, but I'd prefer to stay local.

Norma - I have never heard of a PC Camp, but then again I didnt hear about an Apple camp until recently.  I think that this is just the thinking of the Apple folks.  Always one step ahead.  I guess thats why I have two.

Richard - Couldnt agree more.  The last this we need is for a MAC Virus.  Its nice not having to worry about those things on a MAC.  Plus they are SO easy to use.

That sounds like a lot fun!  They should have Apple Toddlers.

I know you are a huge MAC fan... Thanks for the post. When Boomer is a little older, I'm sure he'll ask to go to it.

Hi John, Wouldn't it be fun it they allowed us to go to Apple camp or some of these other camps along with the kids? LOL  Maybe not... but we missed out on all this stuff as kids.

Angelia - Not sure thats what its for.  LOL

Donna - I m sure they will have something for toddlers at some point.

Loreena - By the time he is older and into computers, they will be much further along.  Cant wait to see how far computers come by then.

Sheila - You are brave.  I dont think I could let them do that.  But Im sure you and/or your husband have gone through some safety tips with them.

Shirley - I could not agree more.  It would be nice for them to run some clinics for us.

Not sure Kristin.  When I tried to sign up to our area I was not lucky enough to get my kids in.  Already filled up.  Perhaps they sent a newsletter or something before hitting the press. :-(
