Coffee with the Mayor - Mayor Maher Maso of Frisco Texas

On December 20, will be the last 'Coffee with the Mayor' for 2010. This monthly meeting is typically held on the 2nd Monday of the month, but was moved to the third Monday due to the Mayor's schedule.

Coffee with the Mayor has been a monthly meeting, hosted by Mayor Maher Maso of Frisco Texas, since June 2008. It's a very casual setting with coffee and donuts. The goal is for Frisco residence to attend and feel free to ask questions about our community. Have a concern? Question? Idea? This is a great setting for that discussion.

Meetings are held in City Hall, located at 6101 Frisco Square Blvd in the George A. Purefoy Municipal Center.

I have personally attending many of these meetings. It's a great place to ask questions and learn what changes are coming our way, such as corporation moves, live events, and community building. There are usually between 20-30 attendees each month, and is sometimes held at different locations.

If you want to know when and where the events are held each month, visit the Frisco Texas site @ http://www.friscotexas.gov/government/Pages/CoffeewiththeMayor.aspx

Hope to see you there!

RainCamp Houston - A Great Success

Just one of many faces I met at Houston Raincamp. I'll post some pictures as well, but wanted to share this with you guys/gals. There were agents from all over... including Mike Leibel AKA "Calgary Mike".

Via Mike Leibel - Associate Broker (CIR Realty - Calgary, Chestermere, Balzac & Airdrie):

I had a lot of fun at Raincamp in Houston.   I met a lot of interesting people there.  I have still yet to go through all the names but I hope to be doing so sometime soon, within the next week or two as I get time.  I hope to be in touch with each and every one of you that I met, and for those that I didn't, my apologies.       If I ever have any referrals to Texas I am definitely going to know where to send them to.

There were agents from all over, not just Texas.  I met folks from Louisiana, New Mexico, Arizona, Washington, Missouri, and Arkansas to name a few.

The Raincamp presented me with some great ideas on Social Networking and it will take me a while to digest all my notes and put some of them to good use.

While the Raincamp was an excellent networking opportunity, the best time I had was at the after-party.   It was really here that I got to know some of you a little better.  I will admit that I quickly started to zone out after the first couple of hours due to the sound system being so loud that I could no longer cope with it, so left shortly after.

Special thanks to Lloyd McKenzie & Jason Crouch for helping me find the after-party Venue.

If you haven't already attended a RainCamp, I'd strongly encourage you to do so, especially if it is coming to a town near you.   One thing that I would like to point out is that Chair-drops are forbidden, so don't go to any time, effort or expense to have anything special printed up with the hopes of reaching out to those that you cannot meet due to time constraints. (and there will be many).  I learned that the hard way, but I can still use those unused chair-drops as part of my listing presentation.

Here are some of my best memories from Houston RainCamp
